Domestic Goddess in Training

I had a sudden flash back to writing this post.  Back then I was a girl that didn't really like cooking but had starting obsessing about pretty kitchens.

Now I'm more than halfway towards a pretty kitchen of my own. I just need the cupboard doors to be built and the drawers and buy a cooker hood, and then the open shelves oh and then the round mirror, bah. We'll get there eventually. In the meantime I have a working oven and 4 gas rings to cook away to my heart's content.

Yip cooking, now I love it. I have developed an unhealthy cookbook obsession and have more than a little crush on Nigel Slater and Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall. (It might be specs, my boy also sports a pair).

With the pretty kitchen getting there and the new oven installed, my training as a domestic goddess can well and truly begin. Soon I should be whipping up tasty treats and tantalising tummy fillers with ease and I will be sharing my successes and, no doubt, some disasters with you.

I'm taking part in Foodie Penpals for the first time this month and there will be a full post about that soon but if you can't wait there is more info here and here.
